today when i was leaving the house i kissed my hubby and said, "have a great day" and he said it already was. i thought that was pretty sweet. it's those out of the blue, for no reason things that make me smile and think i'm so glad i married you.
J and K if you are reading this---begin and end each day with a little kiss. It makes your days and nights better.
i like that even after 30 years of marriage we can still surprise each other with little things.

I love my home when.....
i cook and my husband cleans up.
my doggies run and greet me.
my hubby likes what i cook and my daughter eats it and likes it also.
my daughter bakes and CLEANS UP after her self TOTALLY.
the floor is freshly swept and mopped.
i don't wear a bra.
i can wear my pjs all day if i want to.
i can sew.
it's clean.
i can cuddle with my hubby.
i can relax and do nothing if that's what i want.
it's decorated for Christmas and all the presents are wrapped.
i can smell banana bread baking in the oven.
i see hummingbirds at the hummingbird feeder and butterflies drinking nectar from the flowers.
friends come to visit.
family and friends come for Thanksgiving.
these were written in not particular order---just as they popped into my head!!

Gracyn DenBesten sings "HEALER" on Father's Day
I haven't written about Gracyn in a while but I feel this child of God has touched countless lives since she was diagnosed with viral myocarditis back in December of 2008. She received a heart transplant on April 15, 2009 and is doing great. She started 5th grade and was so excited, but then worried because she was going to have to wear a mask to school due to her low white blood cells count. Some of her friends made her feel more comfortable by wearing masks also. That little action made all the difference for sweet Gracyn. When they were getting ready for school, I was touched by what her brother Brooks told his mom. From her caring bridge site: He said, "Mommy, this is how it's suppose to be... all of us here together, getting ready for school. It's been a long time since that's happened." He then gave me a big hug. I whole-heartedly agree... it's been a long time, and oh, how good it feels.
You can read more about Gracyn's performance here.
I hope Gracyn has a wonderful 5th grade year!! Please join me in praying that she shows no signs of rejection.

DipTacular 2009

i'm getting giddy just reading about these dips on Boomama's blog. so yummy. so very yummy. they have made a regular day dipalicious. i want to go to the store right now!!! the only problem is i don't know which ONES to make first!!! Decisions, decisions.
this is a super easy fruit dip that you can make lickety split.
Fluffy Cream Cheese Fruit Dip
1--8 oz. tub of strawberry cream cheese spread

1--7 oz. jar of marshmallow creme
Blend together. That's it. Serve with fresh fruit. This can be made with a regular 8 oz. cream cheese also, but it's easier if you use the softened tub kind. If you want to save a few calories, substitute sugar free cool whip for marshmallow creme, but personally why mess with a good thing??? i love it the original way.
